Traditional Greek Salad

I made χωριατικη σα λατα (translate: Greek Salad) last week Thursday! I thought I would add the translation for those who aren't fluent in Greek. Although a lot of restaurants offer this type of salad on their menus, there are many that add lettuce into the mix which shouldn't really be included if you are making an original authentic Greek salad. This recipe is how the Greek Gods originally intended it to be. Mediterranean Delicacies were kind enough to deliver a few ingredients necessary to make the salad - these being the Calamata Style Olives & Traditional Imported Greek Feta Cheese. It's really simple to make: you have the ingredients for the dressing, the ingredients for the salad and in the end you have to mix it all up. Done! It's a rough country salad ideal for the summer (the sun was out on the day - that's good enough!) and includes juicy tomatoes, sliced red onion, crisp cucumber, green pepper, crumbly feta cheese and delicious Calamata Olives which add to the colour & flavour of the salad.

Method: 1. Mix the olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, salt, pepper and oregano together. 2. Place the salad ingredients in a large bowl 3. Pour the dressing over the salad 4. Toss to combine and add black pepper before serving
