BM Food Manufacturers was established in 2006 when Bettafresh Prepared Foods and Mediterranean Delicacies merged. We produce and deliver a unique range of products throughout South Africa. We operate from three sites located in Cape Town, Edenvale and Lanseria.

In September 2016, BM Foods acquired Tuna Marine Foods. This Western Cape based food manufacturer has been producing quality olive and pickled products for over 50 years. Their Tuna Marine and Judy’s brands are well-established and loved by all.

In the last quarter of 2020, BM Foods teamed up with a dynamic young team to form a new ambient food service business called Alliance Food Services, with national distribution capabilities. Alliance Foods has branches in Cape Town and Johannesburg.

Cape Harvest Foods, a subsidiary of Sea Harvest, acquired a controlling interest in BM Foods in 2021. This has opened the business up to the potential for organic and acquisitive growth.

Over 700 employees contribute to the production of more than 600 different fresh product lines. Together, we supply major retailers and wholesalers throughout Southern Africa.

To ensure the best product possible, we adhere to strict production processes. We operate a 100% cold chain from production to delivery. Our laboratories ensure we abide by strict standards to satisfy our expanding customer base.
